EIGHTH NOTE ROCK GROOVES



Now we are going to double the notes played in each bar to eight by placing a beat evenly between the 12341 etc hence eighth notes..

Tap the hi-hat eight times in the bar counting 1 and 2 + 3 + 4 + 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 1 etc.

Play the bass drum on beats 1 & 3

Play your snare drum on beats 2 & 4

You can develop many new funky patterns by just changing the bass drum pattern
